Bean’s father doesn’t like this photo. He says I always get out the camera when his hair is uncombed. I say maybe he should just keep his hair combed at all times, just in case. Kind of like clean panties and quarters for the phone booth.

(The flower he’s cutting up is sorrel, which you dry, mix with cloves and cinnamon, and then boil. Sweeten it up and you have Grenada’s special Christmas drink. Mmm, cloves.)
